Last night, we had a good time during our choir practice. It was not the usual practice. We had fun cos Mr Eric the ‘Super Choir Master’ decided to have Chinese New Year celebration at the same time in his residence. The food was good. They have such a serving heart. I just purchased a new toy last Saturday. (Check out my previous new toy) It’s a USB Audio Interface thingy. It’s a brand from M-Audio. It allows you to make audio recording directly to your pc. Normal way is to poke a mic directly to your pc from the mic input. However that does not realy give you good results because of some audio and digital condition that I myself can’t explain. Well, I think it works pretty fine. Just one thing tho, anyone who are good in audio recording? I have a question. When hooking this USB thing, the sound that I hear does not come out real time. There’s a 1-2 second delay. I still manage to do recordings but without listening to the sound that goes thru the effect which causes the delay. Anyway, here’s a sample that I made using some drum loops and my guitar. Effects was added later after recording.

I had the chance to try some Thai food last 2 weeks ago while I was in Amcorp Mall, Petaling Jaya. After buying some vegetables for my pet tortoise, I walk past this restaurant called Rak Thai or Rak Thong? I can’t remember. Anyway, I had some Tom Yam and also this dish that had three types of chicken cooking style in it. One things for sure, the Tom Yam was good. The restaurant captain was a cool chap too. He is from Sarawak, although I did not get his name. The restaurant is located at the lower ground floor of Amcorp Mall. in front of Subway Cafe.
