Reverse Auction

Have you tried bidding for items from an auction site? Basically it works when someone has the highest bid, that person wins the item. For example, you are interested on that cowboy hat that’s worth $100 at the shops. You bid for it and in the end you win at $45. So you’re a happy individual with a brand new cowboy hat.
Reverse auction works differently though. The lowest unique bidder wins! Let’s say there are 5 bidders and three bids at $0.1 and one guy bids at $2.00 and the remaining chap bids at $1.50, so the $1.50 bidder wins! Got it? Well if you are still unclear about reverse auction, go check out Bid4prizes.com. The free gifts are fabulous! From Apple Iphone to a Samsung 50″ Plasma TV and check this out-a brand new 2007 Scion ride! There are cash prize to be won too. Playing is also very user friendly since everything is text based. You know how to text message don’t you? Here, everyone stand a chance to win. It is all limited to your creativity. It is just like winning a Sweepstake only you have a wider choice of gifts.

Broadband

A raise of hands to anyone who is using dial-up connection now. Unless you have a reason to use dial-up connection, I believe anyone who stumble on this post are using broadband connection. Everyone knows that broadband means speedy internet connectivity and the whole megabits ’shabang’. But what makes the difference is the ISP or Internet service provider. We don’t have much choice here in Malaysia. But for my buddies in the UK, they do have great choices of companies with track records for good customer service. When it comes to home broadband, they are spoilt for choice. You lucky devils you.

Celestion Guitar Amp Driver (Loudspeaker)

Today before reaching home. I stopped by at Acoustic & Lighting System Sdn Bhd, in Puchong. I have been keeping in touch with the person who is working in the company by the name of Mr. Liaw. He’s from Sarawak. Reason for me to drop by was to order from them a loudspeaker or driver from them. (I never knew it was called driver until I browse the Celestion website) They carry the brand Celestion. I am planning to change the original driver from my Fender Champion 30. tube10.jpgI was hoping that this new Celestion Tube 10 driver will give more oomph to my amp. Celestion has long been known for its rugged and quality sound for guitar amps throughout all the music era. The company actually started in 1924! (Source WiKipedia) You will notice it’s presence in famous amps like Vox, Fender, Marshall, Laney and Crate just to name a few. Oh and it’s from the UK. It will take at least 30 days for the item to arrive. Btw, it’s the cheapest and the only compatible driver for my Fender Champion 30 amp. Price was only Rm140.00. I hope this is worth it. Will definitely post an update once I got it.

Have you tried the Google homepage?

I’m not really sure what it is officially called. But it’s like having your own little navigation page with links to all your favorite subscriptions for websites or blogs. I use GMail a lot in fact my office mail is also configured to be received thru GMail. That way, I only open one single mail box to access all my other mails. Well, coming back to the Google Homepage, it’s really cool. I like the theme that is customizable. I believe mine is called ‘The Beach’. One interesting feature about the theme is that the scenery change and synchronize with your time together with the sun position. As you can see from my print screen here, the time was around 10:51am. The sun position was just about what I can see from my balcony here in Puchong. Oh, btw I’m on leave today unfortunately was awaken around 7:40am ++ from the workplace in regards to a customer complaint. Sigh…can’t program myself to sleep after that.
