I did make some decent money the past few months preparing for the ‘Xmas’. Of course it’s nice to buy yourself some nice gift for yourself. It’s 100 times nicer if you get a gift from someone else, even if it’s a stapler or a cheap mouse. (FYI I did not get that, it’s just an example.)

Anyway, just for your info, I’m a bike rider. That means I ride a motorcycle. I have a car but going to work in KL gives you much flexibility when you use a bike. Talk about savings! So why am I talking about my mode of transport? Well….as you know Xmas is around the corner, as a biker, one needs to have a good and reliable jacket. Currently I’m using a jacket that’s going to rip off anytime a strong wind comes from sideways. We need jackets to protect us against the elements you see. Going at 90km to 100km per hour on a bike is so much different then being in a car. We also need to look cool.

So, for those of you who have decided to buy me Xmas gift, thank you. I would recommend you to get a jacket called ‘Arcteryx Men’s Hercule’ from volcom clothing pictured here. Very cheap. $299 only lah. Plus I may look sexy in that thing. (But must trim down first)

I used to have a waistline of 27 inches. Let me see, that was like during my secondary school. Form five to be exact. My weight then was somewhere between 50 to 55 kilograms….and my abs? Totally flat man! Funny how I thought it would stay like that forever. (At the time, I haven’t really understand the effects of gravity and how trans fatty acids from your favorite burger or margarine could add some extra ‘body mass’.

So how much do I weigh now? The last I checked, it was at 75 78 kg. My waist? I’ll let you do the math yourself. Am I going to do anything about it? Like yeah! First thing’s first, My new resolution is happening next year, so officially I can still be excused.

Psst. (Have you heard of this thing called Miracle burn? They say its reliable and it works.)

Maybe I just stick to sit ups and push ups for time being.

I recently got myself the TGIF free food voucher thing. I received an email telling me that I am one of ‘The chosen ones‘. OO….sounded like a movie ah..anyway it was an e-mail sent by Esther. I was supposed to pick it up myself. KL for me is still a jungle. i am really bad with KL area. I only know how to come to work and go back. Oh I recently found out how to go to the guitar shops in Bukit Bintang so that’s a plus. I asked Esther if they could send it over or perhaps give me a map. Esther advised me that mailing it would not be a good idea because it might get lost so… I might end up hungry standing in front of TGIF (unless I go in and pay lah)

So Esther sent me a map. if this was her work, she’s quite good at this type of drawing. I believe it was done using a ruler and a pen….

So I took my trusty Honda Wave 125s and ventured out into the city’s concrete jungle and battle my way through traffic. i came from the Jalan Yap Kwan Seng area so it was supposed to be near. I got lost a little bit cos I overshot up to the end of the road. Asked a Mamak sundry shop owner and it was right behind Sheraton Imperial..duh! That’s what the map says…

This office building is pretty neat. Simple lobby area with a guard who hums away tunes while filling up the visitors form. Now the best part is, I reached 12B and couldn’t find a 3A. There’s 3B and stuff but no 3A! I even forgot to jot down Esther’s mobile number..aiseh…

Lucky number 12

I went to each and every door. Nope. None of them had ‘NUFFNANG’…so NUFFSAID I saw this particular door with no signboard but has this alarm system with an access control thing. Hmm..could it be..? I pressed the bell symbol. I pressed again like 4 times. Ai?? No sound at all. Wait..I can hear a girls voice laughing and a few men. Maybe this is a wrong place lah. Anyway, I just knocked and this time a dude came and open the door. I saw like a bunch of people in a meeting table all looking at me. I saw shoes on the floor. (actually they all ‘kaki ayam’ or barefooted inside)

I saw this babe and immediately I knew it was Esther. Very bubbly and excited. Maybe I’m too good looking one of her favorite blogger.. She immediately presented me with my ‘award’ and we took some promotional shots..

I have to say their office is quite ‘huge’. One meeting table and everyone is seated there facing each other. So there you go.! An office. But they do have a corner where i and Esther spent some time to know each other and talk about blogging, plugins and latest theme fads…OK lah we just sat and took photos. (I’m married so cannot be naughty)

Nuffnang’s beautiful side

I was sweating from the journey since it was afternoon. I was hoping to be offered a cold drink or perhaps a ice blended drink but looks like it will not happen. Besides, I might smell weird with all this sweat. Better go! So I left them with all of them waving…hmm..strange people. But nice people too.
