First, let us find out what exactly is a mermaid. My first encounter with a mermaid was at the age of 8 or 12 years old. I think it was from a Disney movie. It was entitled “The Little Mermaid”. Over the years I have seen a few version of them on TV. Most of the time they picture these (creatures?) as this hot, youthful and beautiful girl with bare tops, long hair and sometimes with a starfish as a bra just like the Disney cartoon ones. Now below is what I received from the internet and this is not Maya Karin although the figure may fool you. It’s a bit ugly anyway.

A mermaid (from the Middle English mere in the obsolete sense ’sea’ (as in maritime, the Latin mare, “sea”) + maid(en)) is a legendary aquatic creature with the head and torso of human female and the tail of a fish. The male version of a mermaid is called a merman; gender-neutral plurals could be merpeople or merfolk. Various cultures throughout the world have similar figures.

Much like sirens, mermaids in stories would sometimes sing to sailors and enchant them, distracting them from their work and causing them to walk off the deck or cause shipwrecks. Other stories would have them squeeze the life out of drowning men while trying to rescue them. They are also said to take them down to their underwater kingdoms. In Hans Christian Andersen’s The Little Mermaid it is said that they forget that humans cannot breathe underwater, while others say they drown men out of spite.

Now I’m not sure whether Maya Karin sings in this movie or not. Whatever it is, I think she’s hot and she deserves to be a Duyung. I should have checked her feet when I met her last year. (Who knows she’s a real one??)

So the government has been promoting this ‘Jimat dan Senang Kira’ thing that will be on full force this April first 2008. They have been spending money on TV and radio advertisements as well. At first I was thinking why on earth are they doing this method? I thought that in math you actually go for the nearest decimal point? For example if it’s RM10.05 it would then be made to Rm10.10

But after checking out the leaflet I got at the place where I worked, now I understand how it goes. We are eliminating the 1 Sen very soon you see. So everything revolves around the 5 Sen. The 5 Sen becomes the decimal point in this case. The table below may shed some light for some of you who is still a bit confused about this whole stuff just like me.

So the next time you are paying for that nose job New Jersey style that everybody is talking about, don’t bother about the 1 Sen. Round it up!

That’s the beauty of blogging. You can do instant promotion especially when you have a decent traffic, you can pretty much do whatever you needed to do like promote a guitar product for instance, or simply sharing a sad story and even sharing your opinion.

So here I am again, helping my friend to jump start his blogging activity by introducing you guys to him. Now this guy is totally like brand new in blogging. But he is picking up real quick. He went “ah?” when I first asked him if he knows about FTP. But I’m quite impressed because he actually did most of his uploading and adding on codes, plugins, changing of theme by himself after only teaching him once. Honestly I don’t know what he plans to do with his blog but recently I saw some huge burger picture in one of his currently 3 postings. he also change his themes so many times like getting a Miami facelift. (can’t blame him, he must be excited)

So go ahead and give him some wisdom and encouragement. I can see he is way faster than my friend whom I introduced a couple of months ago.

Here’s something I received recently.

A middle aged woman has a heart attack and is taken to the hospital. While on the operating table she has a near death experience. During that experience she sees God and ask if this is it. God says no and explains that she has another 30 years to live.

Upon her recovery she decides to just stay in the hospital and have a face lift, liposuction, breast augmentation, tummy tuck, etc. She even has someone come in and change her hair color. She figures since she’s got another 30 years she might as well make the most of it.

She walks out of the hospital after the last operation and is killed by an ambulance speeding up to the hospital. She arrives in front of God and complains: “I thought you said I had another 30 years.”

God replies, “I didn’t recognize you.“

Lol! Better tell your plastic surgeon not to overdo it next time..
