Gobala Krishnan’s The New Millionaires Book, my take.
I wish I had more time than anybody else but looks like the 24 hours system is here to stay. The only time I spent reading this book will be (no offense Gobala) is in the toilet before my morning shower. I usually sleep between 2am-4am doing other stuff. So this is the only in-between time I have doing book readings. It used to be in the LRT when I still trust them.
I like the way this book was written. (By the way I have reached halfway reading this). This book is not like the typical “What are you waiting for??!!! You can make 1 million just like me” kind-of-book. I’m sure you can. But he shares real facts. Something that we all as Malaysian’s can relate to. How he overcame the problem with PayPal withdrawals and making money out of teaching others as well as not having enough money during college days to thinking differently about how life should be.
The interviews with other successful internet related individuals in this book helps you to discover what are the areas you should focus your strength on. Whether it’s blogging, drop shipping, black hat techniques or even becoming an Ebay power seller, there’s something in this book that may give you the confidence that you can do the same too.
Like what Gaman mentioned in his review, his book also touches on the:
-
Why (why should you do it)
When (part-time of full time)
What (what to do and what to avoid)

I was in Bukit Bintang, KL yesterday night. (this is becoming too frequent) Was catching up with an old pal from school days. While waiting for him, I was about to cross the road towards Sungei Wang when it started raining cats and dogs… and more. I was like cursing and all since I just did not want to use the overhead bridge just to cross a 5-6 metres gap! There I was sitting, and puffing you-know-what.
“..we arrived at the at the venue being greeted by wild, shrieking, crazy, awesome fans shouting GM! GM! GM! (Our band name is Gluteus Maximus). My lead guitarist fell to the ground after a hot sexy girl fan pulled his t-shirt and start hugging him. Security had to escort her away. Me on the other hand was signing autographs and taking quick snapshots with the fans. Same goes for the rest of the band members. As quick as we alighted our limo, we were already on stage getting ready to rock. The thunderous applause from the spectators in the Titanium Dance Club almost rocked the Bugera boutique guitar amps that we were using. Then the moment came when the bass and drums started our first song. I told the boys: It’s time to rock!!..”
We came rather early since we thought we need to beat the jam to reach the club. This was our first battle of the band experience and it was awesome. Seeing all the other bands arriving to register at the counter, the feeling was amazing. Almost like a rock concert!
To name a few, we had bands like Bench Marx (all Mat Salleh), Forty Winks, Gluteus Maximus (That’s us!), Lab Rat, Lethal Doses, Pasca Tragedy, Revenge (Awesome glam rock band!!), Rolling Sixers, Single Track Mind and others that I can’t remember. (Actually those were the name list I managed to take a snapshot of)
