Arbitration is cool
Today we are going to learn a little term called ‘arbitration’. I came across this word while searching for some common English Law terms. Honestly speaking, this is something new for me too. I asked a law student friend of mine to explain in the simplest of words to a laymen like myself.
He said that it’s simple. There are some cases where the legal issue involves some very technical knowledge and all. He gave me an example of a construction company. Say a developer is not satisfied with a contractor that was supposed to do their job to lay a mix of concrete because of a shoddy job and they suspected that this is due to some short cuts in making the mix. This is definitely out of the judge’s playing field as it needs some panel of experts to handle such case. So what do you do? A team of independent third party is set up where they function much like a judge. So there you go. Still confused? San Diego arbitration services may shed some light.
