Are you a metrosexual person?

First let me explain what the word ‘Metrosexual’ means for those of you who heard this for the first time. Now according to good ol’ Wikipedia, this is how Metrosexual is defined as:

Metrosexual is a word describing men who have a strong concern for their aesthetic appearance, and spend a substantial amount of time and money on their images and lifestyles. Though the term has undergone a transformation from its original meaning (a heterosexual man who appeared or acted as if he were homosexual or bisexual), current trends have seen the metrosexual label placed upon male embracing of practices usually perceived to be feminine, rather than those specifically associated with stereotypically effeminate homosexuals. Debate surrounds the term’s use as a theoretical signifier of gender deconstruction and its associations with consumerism. Current gender scholars view metrosexuality as representative of the embracing of relational understanding in addition to its lifestyle and aesthetic implications.

Perhaps in other simple terms, this means that a dude is actually doing stuff that would normally be perceived as ‘feminine’ by most people in general. Example, things like buying skin care products, you know..cleanser, toner and moisturizer? I was really into this trend a while back. Something to do with my own little business. Boy was I glowing! Frankly speaking I really felt the difference. My skin tone has never been so healthy. Many people actually noticed the difference. (Of course It did not increase the level of my ‘handsomeness’) However, as time goes by, I reckoned the business was just not for me to run although I am still a member. I no longer have a full set of facial skincare products to go with accept for a normal facial wash.
