I’m always fascinated by the quality of the music made by folks in the 50′s to the 60′s. Quality here is not referring to the quality of the recorded sound but more about the feel and the whole essence of their music. Their stories are usually simple and relate purely based on life’s true experience.
Here’s my rendition of The Beach Boy’s ‘Barbara Ann’. If I had a phono preamp from musicians friend during the process, I may have a better sounding result. Then again, I still need to master a lot of these mixing methods.
