How to generate your Facebook page fans name list the easy way

Now there’s no coding or javascript stuff here. Just plain Copy and paste. So if you have a Page and you need to pick someone from the list say for a freebie, all you need to do is: (make sure you are logged in as admin)

1. Look  for the part that shows you the list of new likes and click ‘See All’

2. If you have a lot of fans you may need to click ‘See More’ by scrolling to the bottom of the list. Looks like you have to keep clicking until there’s no more indication. That’s when you know you have the full list displayed.

3. Just drag to high light and press Ctrl + C. That’s it! Make sure you start from the bottom and not include yourself and other Admins (unless you plan to do so)

4. Make sure you paste it into a text document and not MS Words. Save your work.

5. If you would like to pick a person randomly and in a numbering order, I feel Techmechanic.com does a good job.

Don't do this at home

We had a jolly good time last Saturday. Hanging out with friends and bloggers alike. It’s one of those gatherings that we were always looked forward to. The meet up place was set at a place called The Hill, in Kuala Lumpur. We got lost trying to find our way to the venue. Even the GPS did not help much either. It kept pointing us to go towards the main highway!

Met some new faces, met some new ones too. We were expecting to see at least 30 turn ups based on the Facebook confirmation invites. Unfortunately only 20+ came. The good thing is we have more food to ‘share’ around. The downside is that our friend Daniel had to fork out for the balance of it since he was the person liaising with the restaurant had promised a minimum of 30 turn outs. Well that’s the thing about Facebook invites. It’s so easy clicking ‘Confirm’ but to commit is another thing.

It’s good to be socializing out of the normal online ‘Social Network’. Of course there’s no ‘like’ button for you to click but at least you can show the person how you like their story, shoes or gadget for that matter.

Maybe if we have another opportunity (which I doubt) for another little gathering like this let’s do it on a Monday night and call it the Cyber Monday challenge just to make things more interesting?

How to connect your flickr to Facebook

Flickr image upload

If you are a newbie to Flickr just like me, you may or may not know about one feature available in Flickr which is to connect your Facebook account. Flickr is an image hosting and video hosting website, web services suite, and online community created by Ludicorp and later acquired by Yahoo!.

It’s really straight forward really. Once you have created your account from the main page:

  1. Click Your ID at the top right side of the main page

Flickr1

2.  Look for a tab called ‘Sharing & extending’

Flickr2

3.  Look for the Facebook icon and just follow the instructions.

No worries I’m sure you will find it easier than finding for the term allergy doctor austin in Google and trying to figure out what that actually means…

And now your Flickr uploads will be updated in your Facebook profile page as well as in the News feed of all your friends. Provided they did not turn off news feeds coming from you..
