Credit cards, good or bad?

It really depends on who’s hand it is. I learned a very good lesson from my experience using credit cards. The first time I started working I got my first credit card and boom! Just overnight I spent like $2000 on an over sized TV set. I even lost my credit card in a gas station once and someone already bought themselves a brand new shoes by the time I called the bank.
Recently there was a case of stolen identity when hackers managed to hack into TK Maxx data base and carted away like 45.6 million credit and debit card numbers! Yikes.
That brings us to another question. Is it really safe having credit cards nowadays? With the power of technology combined with naughty plans, people can do almost anything to electronic data’s. What’s your view on this?
