Credit Cards, pleasure or pain?
I believe most of us here by the time we hit the ‘employed’ status, chances are we have already sign-up for one or two credit cards. I’m sure most of the excuse were, “I need it in case of emergency” or “I will make sure I pay the full amount every month”. Yep. That’s what I thought as well.
By the time you can say, “what’s going on?”, you end up having some extras that would soon accumulate. That’s when the late fee’s and interests kicks in as well. I used the balance transfer options to help ‘ease’ this burden a while ago. it was the same thing. It’s like digging another hole to cover another hole :P. I was thinking if there is something like cash back credit cards?
Whatever it is, it is evident that you need discipline and strong will power when using a credit card. You don’t have that delayed gratification thing going on when you are desperate!
If you really need to apply one, my advice to you is to compare credit cards and find the ones that best suits your need and stick with it.

credit cards are a necessary evil. My tips: get max 2 credit cards only. Pay off all every mth. If cannot, better get AMEX.
Ben- You are right Ben. I was paying a TV that I bought like 5-6 years ago!
I agree. Credit cards are a pain. It’ s necessary at times, so it’s better just to keep 1 or 2. For married couples, I think 1 each should be good enough.
Shemah- Given a choice, I’d rather deal everything in cash. You get better discounts and definitely better deals most of the time I think.
You’d still need cards for emergencies and to do online payment/purchases.
pain if you don’t know how to use it wisely..
