Currently Reading: Meet The Beatles by Steven D Stark
It’s been quite sometime since I last read a book. Last Sunday, I went over to Amcorp Mall in Petaling Jaya just to kill some time before our band practice. Quite an interesting place to check out. (There will be another post on this one)
I have been wanting to buy a book about The Beatles. I didn’t care what sort of coverage the book was about on The Beatles, as long as it is about The Beatles. I tried checking out Popular Bookstore. They don’t seem to have em as far as I was browsing around. (I never asked the staff for assistance anyway). Tried this shop that sells second hand books. Nope. Nothing. Then I went to the lower ground floor. Met up with Mr Joe the person I bought the second hand Fender Champion 30 amp from. He sells other stuffs too. Old records, guitars, record players, guitar amps etc. Very cool chap. Then I saw this book placed at a placement on the wall. Wrapped in some plastic. It says, ‘Meet The Beatles’. Hallelujah! There it is. What I’ve been looking for. A book on The Beatles.
So far I have only managed 20+ pages. Everything was done during my LRT rides. Pretty interesting book. Do you know that two of the Beatles members can’t read any musical notes? Every time they have a song idea, they’ll just hum it and the rest of the team will compose them into musical sheet. Don’t ask me who those two were. I forgot to bring the book on my ride today. Quite frustrated.
