Mothers Day. Only today did I know that Mothers Day falls on every second Sunday of the month of May. Huh? why? History has it that the first known observance of Mothers Day in the US happened in Michigan on May 13, 1877. Wow.. that’s like more than a hundred years ago! As time passes it has been widely accepted that this is the day when everyone would generally show their appreciation to their mothers. Some places people will wear roses or carnation. A red flower symbolizes a living mother, white flowers for the departed ones ans pink for those who are unsure. Kind of cool huh?
