I was attending my niece’s wedding. I was the unofficial photographer for the day. Snapping photos as though I know what I’m doing.. ha ha! I hope I did at least have one or two memorable picture worth framing!

We had so much fun. The church wedding was conducted around noon. One real hot afternoon. But the sun was shining gracefully giving good lighting and the sky was bright blue giving us all a great opportunity to take some nice snapshots just beside the church where the padi field is. We were even being creative by using window blinds for the backdrop for the newly weds’ ‘throne’.

The best part was of course during the wedding reception. Biasalah..di Sabah… ‘aramai tih’

I just came back from a friend’s wedding reception. It was held at a place in Selayang called Ideal Convention Center. This was my first time here in Selayang. Finding the place was not that hard. Just followed the Google map directions and I was there in no time.

Met so many old friends and colleagues there. Some had kids, some had more kids and some had more than enough kids. And it was fun to experience the whole event in this wedding. Looks like they have made it into a carnival-like atmosphere. There were people on stilts, fire eater, clowns that does balloon figures, there were magic shows on stage and the one I like the most, Chinese girls doing belly dancing! Hot!

Our office mates pooled our resources and bought him a Microwave oven. I guess he may need it.. I noticed a lot of ‘Ang Pows’ got into his pocket. Hmm did someone just present him with the new classy Minka Aire ceiling fans?

Lucky man…

I have heard of these rumor for as long as I have been staying here in Peninsular Malaysia. Folks have been telling me that some of the road-side paddlers for example, who made and sold those ‘Pisang Goreng’ or banana fritters are using plastic straws to make them fritters crunchier. There was this one particular ‘gerai’ in Shah Alam near the commuter station where the fritters are so yummy and crunchy. I hope they did not use the same method….

I just hope the recent report in Sabah about how Grace Chang Sim Vui, a Principal of a college who stumbled upon a piece of plastic straw that had half-melted and had embedded into the banana fritters which she bought at a shopping mall outlet, is just a terrible mistake. (Who knows a straw just happened to drop into the wok without them workers realizing it)

But if it was true then damn to those who are really doing this.! They sent their kids through college, pay their bills, lifestyle, their auto insurance and even their home. You should be ashamed of yourselves. But then again, they have no shame…. hmm.. I’m eating toasted bread from a cafe now…. I wonder if they added something in here.. hmm…

Losier. Seems like a book that I will get drawn into. I can relate to what the author is saying in the book. By harnessing the law of attraction, you can achieve the quality of life that you wanted. Relationship, career and business.

Who knows, I could start business selling the cheapest car insurance in Malaysia? Ha ha..
