During my college days, I used to weigh around 80kg or 176.36981 pounds. I was a big eater then. (Now too). I think it has something to do with me stopping the smoking habit. I noticed my appetite increased after that. Friends would think that I was crazy whenever I ordered my second plate of fried rice or fried noodles. Of course I still don’t look ‘fat’ although it was obvious around my face. My cheek was slightly, somewhat puffed.

Okay. I realized that this cannot continue if I want to lead a so called healthy lifestyle. What I did was follow a regiment of doing some simple exercise, started taking food supplements and cut down on rice since I eat quite a big portion of it. My plate will normally be filled up looking like a mountain. Did it helped? Yes it did. I am now at 70+kg or 154.323584 pounds. Did I maintain my healthy lifestyle after that? Not really. I still reduce my rice intake but I have sacrificed my ’simple exercise’. I do try walking up stairs every time I’m in the train station. Now instead of my face, my ‘middle earth’ has widen it’s area.

What am I going to do about it? First I got myself to use a calorie counter from this website called MyFitnessPal.com. After registering for free without any credit cards details needed whatsoever, I did some simple inputs to give me some idea where am I now and where would I want to go next. It tells me that I should reach the goal I set by August 1 if I were to follow the food choices based on the daily calorie intake I need. Cool.
