Flooding in my kampung!
This is the latest news in Kampung Popot, Kudat where my kampung is. To my office people and blog readers and friends, we are still alive. There’s still some instant noodles in the cupboard. Hopefully this does not last til’ tomorrow cos my flight is at 8pm from Kota Kinabalu.
Problem is, the only road to get to the main road from my kampung has turned into a river. Good thing internet is still up. But the sad thing is, if I can’t go back tomorrow, then I will waste my ticket and that means buying another new ticket to KL!
The snapshots below were taken around an hour ago. It still is raining heavily since last night.

Doii quite bad la Kay..But thank God all safe, that’s what important..Hopefully the rain will stop..so you can make it tmrw..yea u will, just think positive..hehe

Jacq- Deep it is. There are parts sampai pinggang but we did not go there. Geli kah? Wait til I show you the healthy earth worm. This only show one thing, the land is still fertile…

eshark-banyak ikan tu kalau time banjir…ramai orng memukat sana tu…tpi sya pukat sumandak ja la di jambatan..huahaha..

Sheela- Almost every year but this time macam lagi teruk according to my parents and urang kampung. We are all OK bah… saya exaggerate jak tu. Budak naik beskal pun bulih seberang lagi arus kuat tu..

HannaT- Yep. It has ‘suruted’ a bit when I left yesterday for the airport in KK. Unless it rains more than 5 hours like the other day then it should be fine.
the other day, i was at Paitan. we used the pitas road to get there because we’re from kk. And it was actually already started to flood (29 dec 08). I tried to snap some pics but the car was too fast. And yesterday, my mom called us from Paitan and told us the flood are so high, they’re not sure if they can’t make it to kk today.
Eshark-Buli ba kalau kau..kita bagi2 saja kalau dapat hasil…yg cantik2 ko pnya..yg kiut2 sya pnya..buli ka??..hahaha..
Duchess- Adui… good thing everyone is OK. While driving to KK on the 4th, we can see a few tanah runtuh here and there. Banyak jalan rusak also because it was near the tebing bukit.
Good thing you manage to get to KK…my aunty have to rebook for a ticket because it was flooding quite heavily on sat (3rd)…she didn’t manage to catch her plane…so she fly only on monday…i heard that somebody miss their own wedding that day…i really pity them..
biar betul. Missed their own wedding. Kesian.
Nimrodjo- I was already checking out AirAsia website and calculating my loss… lucky thing the rain subside. And now, today, my mom updated me that it is still raining there started from last night until now! Adui… I feel sorry for the newly weds to be. But hey, that’s something for them to remember and laugh about..
You know, keadaan beginilah yang sebenarnya saya rindu mau tengok. sudah lama tak nampak dan tak melalui saat-saat kesukaran yang pernah saya lalui bertahun-tahun yang lalu (sewaktu saya masih kecil-kecil lagi). Kalau dulu musim banjir, kawasan sawah padi, wah! macam laut ba..
hi tobpinai……nice sceneries….ayatuk….mimang banjir basar kampung kita tu…..but it was a lifetime memory pasal kerita aku sikit hanyut…..hehehehe…..hidup kampung popot…..!!!
Kak Jovita- Siok juga bah banjir ni walaupun menyusahkan banyak urang. Pengalaman tu yg mahal. Mana ada nampak macam ni di KL…
