Food Experience #11

On the 02 of May which was a public holiday here in Malaysia, and happened to be the day I was born, I took the opportunity to help my buddy to collect a gift from One Utama. I managed to persuade wife to let me use the car for the day. But I had to like send her off to work like as early as 6am… not really my kind of timing. Did not managed to sleep after that.
Once reached One Utama around 11:30am or so, my tummy was already screaming for help. So tiday I decided to belanja the handsome guy. One Utama with an additional building extension and all has become one big place. Searching for a nice place to eat makes one go cuckoo….finally I settled for this place called Chilis. It’s an American Grill and bar kind of place I think. It is a franchise I notice. I heard this place is expensive.
I was one of their first customer for the day as I can see some tables were just being set up and only one table occupied. Service was as ok. Nothing really impressive. One thing I noticed, when taking orders, most of the staffs go down to the level of your table and they were like squatting or something….
I ordered myself this chicken drummets thingy as well as a Heineken to go with. I love the drummets thingy. They served it with this wasabi concoction along with some carrot slices. Damn good man! My main were the lamb thing…to tell you the truth, I did not even finished my lamb. The drummets appetizer sort of killed the taste. Environment is very cosy. Lots of classic American paraphernalia around but not as many compared to Daves’ Deli. Was it reasonable..I paid like RM79+++. Ouch.
What? Yes. I was all alone that day….kesian
