Free wordpress plugin that helps you upgrade your individual Wordpress blog
This is a nifty little Worpress Plugin written by Keith Dsouza. I know some other folks used a different way of upgrading their Wordpress. But I personally like this one. I prefer to go to my individual blog and go through the process step by step. Having said that, this plugin does not take much of your time and it’s so user friendly even your cat can do it.

i used that plugin to upgrade from 2.3.3 to 2.5 and my blog started to behave strangely. I have been using this plugin to upgrade a few times before with no problems. So I redid the installation using the manual method – then only was it done correctly.

I usually ask friends who’re new in WP to install this because it is so easy to do. Its just a matter of providing the relevant ftp info and just click the auto, sit down and enjoy.
Now, to those who really want to know whats behind all that, I still suggest do the manual stuffs as suggested by wordpress support team.
Next when you already comfortable, go for the big thing, upgrade using shell. Fastest and efficient. Azmeen has every info you need on this. When comes to Linux, he’s the man to look for
Sorry Kay, panjang pulak ni. Still this plugin is a very useful plugin nevertheless. I recommend fully to those who doesn’t have the time.

Thanks for the input. Yeah I find it really useful compared to opening up FTP and uploading and replacing plus deleting files manually. And yeah, the shell thingy is useful especially if you have tonnes of site such as..er.. you? He he…
I love this plugin non the less. If you have like just 5 blogs and below..I think it’s still ok.
