Living in Kuala Lumpur

advertisement

I have been living in KL for like 10 years now. One thing’s for sure, cost of living is sure high especially if you are the type who need to entertain yourself. I mean, you don’t see many people who can sit at home on Friday and Saturday nights reading books. Instead, people want to go out and perhaps watch a movie that cost’s around RM10.00 or more (not including your dining and mini shopping while you are at the mall). And if you are single and trying to cope with your ancient wild instinct of spreading the seeds of your breed, you may need to spend some more money to hang out in places where most of these suitable mates are.

Earning a property? It depends where the location is. If the place is going to be in a faraway place that will take you 2 hours just to reach Kuala Lumpur, chances are it’s going to be dirt cheap. In the heart of KL, the price of a two bedroom condo unit can reach 1 million at least. Seems like staying overseas can be more affordable from what I can see from Wilmington NC real estate area. Oh well, time to do more paid post…

“ancient wild instinct of spreading the seeds of your breed” Good one Kay! If I can help it, I’ll never want to stay in big cities like KL, ever!

Truly, madly and deeply life in Kuala Lumpur has drastically changed. With the recent hikes in fuel prices, things have worsened and it will be just a matter of time before we feel the real pinch.
My challenge to us all is, instead of cutting costs of living, why don’t we Increase our Incomes?
Does that make sense to everybody?

May be not, but to those few who do lets continue to have fun and enjoy what Kuala lumpur city has to offer.
