Made my first VM Card withdrawal via local ATM

advertisement

Today I made my first withdrawal using the Virtual Money card via ATM. I used the Public Bank ATM. My first attempt was to withdraw Rm950.00 However the message on the ATM says something like “..limit has exceeded..bla-bla..etc” Huh? I was really hoping this was a joke. So I tried again. This time with a lesser amount, Rm900.00. It worked!

Reaching home I checked their online service to view my account status. I was still wondering why was it rejected the first time. I am pretty sure there are charges for that, just like when I had a pin mismatch as well as checking the balance using ATM. Wah..looks like USD is a little lower again. I was also charged $1.20 for the denied withdrawal! As expected the fee for withdrawing is at $5.00. Here’s a print screen:

So imagine if you were to transfer $100 from PayPal.

$100-$2.00 (Bnk trsfr fee)=$98

Say you withdraw $50: $98 (Balance)-$50-$5 (ATM withdraw fee)=$43

Throughout the process, you are charged $7.00.

Oh, they also charge a monthly fee of $2.70

I also found out perhaps the answer to my ATM rejection the first time. In the VM website under the ‘limits’ link. Here is what it says:

That means, different banks may have different limits to the withdrawal amount per day? It’s good to know all the other banks limits too.

Learned something? Oh also here’s the actual money.. he he

Man, posts like this is what makes me go nuts.

I’d really like to get on the PPP train, but having doubts about jumping through weird hoops just to retrieve the money.

Azmeen- I would rather make money via Adsense and text link ads etc. However that doesn’t work for me (I don’t have great content and perhaps my ads placement are not right)
So..PPP is the only option to monetize from my blog..hence I had to jump hoops and stuff..he he

Julian- Whats your average transfer? Cos my sis did $500 and they limit her account until she had to send fax etc..

BTW, love your baby photos. Very meaningful type like National Geographics.
