My blog came out in page one in Google Search

advertisement

I was trying to research some musical terms the other night. I searched for the term “music genres explained”. Currently from my browser it’s at the number two spot on the first page among about 289,000 search result for that term.

Have you encountered any search term that shows your website on the front page before?

musical genres

wow, 289K results, front page, not bad at all. But hey, just a few secs ago I googled “miracle mary”, got 755K results and I was 5th. Not bad for a Google-spanked blog (=PR0) hahaha

well, what do you know, I even defeated wikipedia for that search term. Havent tried other search terms though. I think I can only consider myself good if the search term returns several million results, yet I am still on the first page.

    congrats Kay!
Isn’t it nice to be on the first page of the big G?

I could still remember the feelings when it happened to me almost 2 years back…

Cindy- I’m sure everyone has their own “number one spot in Google”

Ben- Yours’ even better! Let’s work on that page more huh?

DrIzad-..Er..thank you? But I don’t think that’s something to really shout about. By the way, it’s quite cool to see the term “mount kinabalu” shows your site at number two just below wikipedia on page one!! But of course different country may have different results as what I have read from Sabahan.com if I am not mistaken.

    You’re right Kay…

big-G is really clever. They gave result according to where you are typing.

Have you ever try hittail.com? It is one hell of a tool, if you want to know where does the click to your blog comes from.

    Cheers!

    Kay,

maybe this is the rite time to investigate how many people use this keyword to estimate the organic traffic spike. Probably in seobook or wordtracker.

Google webmaster tool and analytics also may be very handy to you.
