Never had a Play Station before

Never owned a Sony Playstation before. Almost more than half of the people I know will own a Playstation perhaps the PS1 or PS2. And now with the PS3 around, I have friends who plays until wee hours of the morning, have a power nap for like half an hour and then goes to work straight after that.

Hmm… should I get one? Why should I get one? Will a PS3 make life more meaningful?
