NFL superstar turned Army Ranger
Heard about the ex NFL star that gave up his probably neat lifestyle to join the army that served in Afghanistan only to be killed in combat. It was reported that he died of friendly fire. There was another report from the Afghan officials that claimed there were no enemy forces present at the time. It was said that two groups of mixed American and Afghan soldiers began firing wildly after a misunderstanding following a land mine explosion.
Anyway think about it. For someone to actually sacrifice a $3.6 million contract with the Arizona Cardinals after a September 11 attack on the US and joined the Army is really something. This person is one real true hero among others who served in the army.
