One Armed Drummer of Def Leppard

advertisement

Any Def Leppard fans here? Boy were they awesome. I love the song Hysteria. But this song really gives you that positive vibe. This was a live concert at the Don Valley Stadium, Sheffield. Should they have a concert here in Malaysia, I wonder how many fans would be purchasing the def leppard concert tickets?

Okay. Let’s sing along to this song now shall we?

Walk away if you want to.
Its ok, if you need to.
Well, you can run, but you can never hide
From the shadow thats creepin up beside you.

And, theres a magic runnin through your soul,
But you cant have it all.
(whatever you do)
Well, Ill be two steps behind you
(wherever you go)
And Ill be there to remind you
That it only takes a minute of your precious time
To turn around and Ill be two steps behind.

Yeah, yeah.
Take the time to think about it.
Just walk the line, you know you just cant fight it
And take a look around, youll see what you cant find,
Like the fire thats burnin up inside me.

Yeah, yeah.
Oh.
Yeah, baby.
Two steps behind
Oh, sugar,
Two steps behind

Oooh, I love Def Leppard~! I think they already had a concert here like eons ago. Back then I saw the band at Starhill and gave them a real good chase, but they were fast. Gone in seconds. No one really realized it was them until I gave a run for it! My classic favourite is ‘Pour Some Sugar On Me’! Classic!

Kay - Haha, I don’t know what they were shopping for but they just passed Delifrance where I was eating at that time. I saw the drummer, and I was like “DEF LEPPARD!!” My brother and I was like, “Pen and paper!!! Pen and paper!!” So by the time we got our pen and paper, they were already running away. We couldn’t get to them..

papajoneh - Yeah, people hardly remember they were here. It must’ve been more than 10 years ago! Lamaaaa sudah tuu.. They should come again kan!

I’m a Def Leppard fan. Had all their CDs/cassettes from their 1st LP until 1996’s slang where their creative juices started started to dry up. I saw them live at their hometown, Sheffield Arena in 1992. A fav moment during the concert: Joe Elliott tried to get everybody to sing Hysteria accapella, but halfway people seemed to have forgotten the words, to which he said: “oh no, you’ve lost the power……..” Another fav was when Phil Collen played that longest note, incredible sustain, the greatest sound system I’ve ever heard, dunno if he used Randall amps then. I used to like Hysteria so much we performed it in a Battle of the Bands competition in the early 90s. But all that changed when I heard the unplugged versions of Animal and Armageddon It!

Ratu- I never knew that the younger generation was also into them. Age is just numbers la. I still feel 21 every year.

Bengodomon-Woohoo! What on earth were you doing in Sheffield man? Huiyo… you are really fortunate to see them live in concert. So…. what’s your guitar setup consist of may I ask O’ great one?

I was a student there 1989-92. You might be surprised to know that the only guitar I have now is a classical guitar.
