advertisement

Here’s a follow up e-mail from PayPal when I asked why is it that they do not accept VM Card’s SouthWest Bank anymore? A nice lady by the name of Charlotte responded. However looks like it’s pretty much a standard letter and they seemed to be serious about it. Check out the letter below.

Dear Kay Stanford Jr Kastum,

Hello,my name is Charlotte, I will be happy to assist you with your

I have already applied for the PBE Visa Electron a few days back. I was told it will take at least two weeks. So..we’ll see. I also e-mailed VM card company about this through their’ ‘contact me’ page…no reply. I also e-mailed the agent Millie whom I signed up with. No respond so far.

So that sums up…PBE Visa Electron is the best method to withdraw paypal money in Malaysia lah kan?

CCarol- Looks like it… of course there are other methods like E-trade etc but this is the straight forward one I know

You could also try Al-Rajhi debit card. All you need to do is open a savings account with them, and you’ll get your debit card that is also your ATM card on the spot. Only drawback is you need RM200 to open a savings account.

I’m using the PB Visa Electron, no issues with it but a word of advise, harass PB Card centre cos they’re totally inefficient. I had to wait for 1 whole month for mine and even then when I enquired after a month they said they never received my application, so I had to do it all again but not after giving them 2-3 pieces of my mind though :D

oh crap! Just when things were going smoothly with the vmi… Oh well, it looks like I’ll be queueing behind you for that application. LOL!

hey, can u keep us updated? because paypal just called me (god all the way from US and that guy sounds like a china man), and they said they have limited my account because i use southwest bank.

god and i declare we get our money back for the damn vmi card! it’s bloody hell expensive and now we can’t use it! what a ripoff!

  7. Site Admin Kay Stanford Jr Kastum on January 22nd, 2008

Huei- Well, sooner or later PayPal will definitely do something about this kind of stuff. I felt the same way like you but I think I read somewhere about how they mention that they do not guarantee it will work with PayPal.. I don’t know lah..
Anyway, cash out as much as you can. Btw, I thought I saw your pet dog a ‘Pekingese’? He has nice butt..(I’m speaking on behalf of my wife’s Pekingese)

    it’s a she ;P heheh

oh well, now they have limited my account, so i can’t withdraw it anymore, until they have verified the documents i’ve sent them, and i have to remove southwest bank, so no more vmi card. if u or anybody are using it, better becareful before paypal creeps up to your account. they’re SO strict. i just hope everythign is fine cos i need the moneyyy!

Huei- Oops! You must be getting lots of advertisement payouts. Might as well try the other alternatives as mentioned in this post.

Nimrodjo- I just got my PB Visa Electron today. Unfortunately I can’t seem to register it in PaypAl. Not sure why.

  12. nimrodjo on February 14th, 2008

You should contact PayPal…some blogger encounter the same problem but I can’t remember what is the solution…

  13. Site Admin Kay Stanford Jr Kastum on February 15th, 2008

nimrodjo- I just sent them an e-mail… sigh. This sucks man…

  14. Nick Phillips on February 15th, 2008

I’d read about this very problem somewhere and I think the person just kept trying to verify it a few times and it went through. Cannot 100% confirm this though. Hope that helps a little :D

If that really doesn’t work, then try Al-Rahji debit card, I read it works with Paypay too, you’d get the card on the spot the moment you apply and it doubles up as an ATM card as well cos you have to open a savings account to get it. Minimum RM200 to open account. That’s what they told me when I went to check it out.

Nick- Thanks for the help. I actually just received my PBE Bank Visa Electron Debit Card. Unfortunately it failed to be added in PayPal. I post about it today

  16. Jewelle on February 22nd, 2008

Kay, I just got my Southwest removed and I didn’t even get any email saying that my bank account has been removed. Looks like on to Visa card then now..

But thanks to your post, I knew what happened when my withdrawal was cancelled.

  17. Site Admin Kay Stanford Jr Kastum on February 22nd, 2008

Jewelle- That’s the end of VM card for us ey? I have received my PBE VIsa and just got it accepted in PayPal. Next is to get it certified by charging an amount from PayPal to get the number thingy..etc..
