PayPal not accepting VM Card’s SouthWest Bank anymore?
My account was blocked a few days back. Actually it went to limited access mode. I can receive payments but cant make any withdrawals. I was told, (they called me) and a guy with a heavy Chinese / Vietnamese accent called me to remove the SoutWest Bank account because they don’t authorize it’s use anymore.
As far as I know, there were so many other bloggers that I know who experienced the same fate. All they did was to submit their documents and all is OK after that. That’s what I did. I submitted all the info online yesterday. Today I had a reply and the letter insisted that I remove the Southwest Bank account in order for the ban to be lifted..
So is this the end for VM users? Is there hope out there? Is there some superhero who can defend us VM users so we can continue our normal lives and do great things?? Is there? Well, looks like I have to try option B then. Withdraw via bank card..

Why not use Public Bank Debit Card?
drizad- If it works why not. You use them as well? That’s my plan B for now.
Drizad, can PB Debit Card be used for Paypal? Last time I used it for verification, it was not accepted. It would be great if they have accepted it.

Yes, PB debit card works for Paypal. I used them also as a back-up card apart from my E*Trade Debit card. There is a charge of USD5 for every transaction through PB Debit card.

Oh no. Too bad this hasta happen to you. Guess my “help” wasn’t such a help after all, huh.. Wonder why they really made a ban on using the SW Bank reason.. And wonder if anybody else experience the same reason given like yourself when being restricted..
Drizad- Which is more cost effective for you. Etrade or PBB?
Jacq-Well, there’s nothing much you can do since it’s Paypal calling the shots now..does yours still work fine?
Etrade is cost effective for the first year only,as they absorb all the transaction fee. However, from second year onwards, you have to pay USD40 every quarterly to make sure your debit card is working. Otherwise, your account will be freeze, until you settle the transaction fee.
That is why I use PB Debit card. For cost effectiveness, better withdraw big amount of money, the transaction fee of USD5 can be really big if you just want to withdraw USD10…

Drizad, do I need to enrol for Visa securecode first before the PB Debit Card can be used for Paypal verification?
Oh no, am dreading this. I just withdraw to mine a few days ago, no problem and hope it stays that way - but looks like have to quickly consider other option before I kena too.
@emily: Hmmm…. I am not sure about that. I have to do it with my Visa CREDIT card, but I don’t think I did with PB DEBIT…

At this moment, you may want to consider Tune Money’s Tune Card, a debit card which apparently have the same feature with other debit card. Although they still do not accept international money transaction, I am sure they will (in the future) when they have big customer database.
So, don’t expect them to work with your Paypal account so soon.
I have applied it last month, and waiting for the reply.
I have been using E-trade so far (more than a year) and they still didn’t charge me anything. But you want to apply now also can’t get a US Bank account as it is process in HK.
Not sure Tune Money Debit card working for PayPal or not. Maybe someone can try it and feedbacks to me.

I thought my post can help anyone about using solely on the PBB visa electron debit card. Maybe my way of language that is so kampung that no one take it seriously.
I have made many withdrawal.. i said many and that no single problem. The usd5 is nothing when u withdraw big money from paypal. big money meaning of coz withdraw above usd100 lah.
After do the withdrawal process from paypal, it took paypal and pbb to solve the withdrawal in 5 days max 6 days.. and i already in front of the pbb atm machine withdrawing it. so easy. I thought i told everyone about it already.
