Pesta Kaamatan, Gawai dan Panen Peringkat Keuskupan Agung Kuala Lumpur 06 Julai 2008, St Anthony’s Church Kuala Lumpur

Sarawak BabeI know… such a long title.

I had the chance to be part of this wonderful harvest Festival event organized by the St Anthony’s church. I’m taking this opportunity to thank each and everyone involved in the event for letting me ‘menyibuk’ and play with the band. I have to say it was an awesome event. It was a hot day, we were tired like nobody’s business but it’s all good! We had Kadazandusun performances, Murut, Iban, Kenyah, Flores, Phillipines and also from the Orang Asal.. oh and also Indian! Talk about real ‘Bangsa Malaysia‘ man!! (I hope I did not miss out other races)

I made a very simple video/slideshow of this event. I did not manage to take many shots since I was on stage helping out most of the time. I even sang my “This is Kaamatan” song. Thanks people!!

Oh and the Sumandaks…?? Everyone looked so beautiful man…

H mm sounds like it was quite a very nice events. I wonder where I can get such information about those kind of events online. Church events are usually full of diversity and myself being a non Malaysian I have seen a variety of events performed by people from different parts of the world and its amazing the energy transmitted in the place. I would love to visit St Anthony. Sounds like a happening place.
