Responsorial Psalm-2nd Sunday Of Lent Year C

advertisement

Hello my choir people. Here is the psalm for this coming Sunday. I ‘recycled’ my melody a bit since there wasn’t much time to come up with a different tune. This should be a straight forward one. Hope my cough will give me some time-out this Sunday morning.

R- The Lord Is My Light and My Help X2

The Lord is my light and my help
Whom shall I fear
The Lords is the stronghold of my Life
Before whom shall I Shrink

O Lord hear my voice when I call
Have mercy and answer
Of You my heart has spoken
Seek—his Face

It-Is-your-face, O Lord that I seek
Hide— not your face
Dismiss not your servant in anger
> You have been my HELP…..

I-am-sure-I-shall-see-the-Lords-,Goodness,
In the land of the living…..
Hope in him, hold firm-and-take-heart
Hope in the, LORD……!

I was wondering why it sounds good, then I realised that it was the same melody that I had done a while back :) Almost note-for-note hehehehehehehee

I thought I was recycling my old psalm melody. Don’t worry. I will gather a team to investigate into this matter and solve this case of the ‘Duplicate Psalm Series of 2006/7′. :D

    First - Great site.

Secondly, I’ve been looking for a Catholic version of Psalm 27 (The Lord is my light and my salvation).

I’ve heard it various times during mass and I just can’t find that particular version.

By any chance, do you know what I’m talking about?

It is the Responsorial Psalm 27 version.

    Edgar.

    Hi Kay,

Great. Thanks for the quick hopeful answer. Just so you know, I found this cool version over at http://www.conovermusic.org/psalms/index.html.

This version of Psalm 27 is a bit faster but it is powerful. The one I’m looking for is a bit slower over Piano. I hope you find it

I’m really happy you and William from Conover Music are giving your music out for free. I know it is hard work so I really appreciate it.

    God bless you.

    Edgar.

Edgar- I can’t seem to find any other reference to psalms created for this one on the net. Why don’t you e-mail me the words and perhaps I can make a tune for you. Unless you need it like today then I can’t help much.

    kay@kastum.com is my e-mail.
