Royal Selangor Club, Kuala Lumpur
Last Saturday, me and my bosses attended the EGM for the Contact Center Association of Malaysia which the company where I work with is part of. Well I’m not going to talk about the meeting. The interesting part is that it was held in the Royal Selangor Club in Kuala Lumpur. This club and it’s building has been around since 1884. Yep. What a history it has. It was founded by the British who was the ruling government at that time. There was even some photos of the earlier members. It includes our famous Yap Ah Loy that we learned about in school. Do you know that this place was also called the ‘Dog’. Reason being is that one of the club founding members wife used to bring her two dalmatians whom will guard the entrance whenever she was at the club. The meeting ended and the best part came soon after. Makan! (Eat!) Btw, if you would like to check out their official website, here it is. http://www.rscweb.org.my/ Their site is rather dull i might say. Someone has to do something about it.
