Sabah and the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park marine sanctuary

Let’s promote more on Sabah shall we?
Honestly I still can’t call myself a true Sabahan. I said that because up till today, I have never set foot to the peak of mount Kinabalu. Whenever someone starts a conversation about climbing that majestic mountain, I try to change the topic to say guitar technology and stuff..
Anyway let’s talk about something I do know..well a little bit. For those of you visitors here who never been to Sabah before, Kota Kinabalu in particular, slot in some time to check out the ‘Tunku Abdul Rahman Park’. The name is given in honor of the first Prime Minister of Malaysia, yeah you guessed it, Tunku Abduk Rahman of course. now I don’t know how did it came about naming it in honor of his name but one things for sure, this marine sanctuary is one place you will fall in love with.
As mentioned in the Sabah Tourism website:
The marine park is a cluster of islands comprising Pulau Gaya, Pulau Sapi, Pulau Manukan, Pulau Mamutik and Pulau Sulug, all only 10 - 20 minute speedboat ride from the city of Kota Kinabalu. The five islands of the Marine Park are characterized by shallow waters, sumptous coral gardens and all boast splendid white sandy beaches.
I have been to Pulau Manukan and only one word…awesome! Nice white sandy beach, crystal clear water, clean… I even saw a Barracuda while snorkeling. It sure is deep but you can see the coral reefs right to the bottom of the ocean floor.
On another note, for those of you who have the extra money to spend on Marine Hardware for your yacht, you should check out marinetravelift.com. You might as well travel in full style when you are docking or anchoring at those places. The chicks will notice you.
