The heroes of mount Kinabalu

advertisement

I’ve heard of stories people telling me how the porters (like Sherpas), carries loads of supplies and goods up to some point in mount Kinabalu. Day in and day out they will be going up the mountain bringing along supplies like food and equipments of some sort. I was amazed when a friend told me that they even carry up the gas cylinders that we use at home for cooking.

Wait until you see the photos from mount-kinabalu-borneo.com. You will be amazed what are they capable of carrying. Are you still complaining about your stressful job? :D

    Yalah Kay…

They do it as their way of making a living. I don’t think our work load are as heavy as what they are bringing…

The last time I climbed Mt. Kinabalu, I thought I was gonna die during the climbing journey. My bags felt too heavy and I kept stopping at the huts to rest and have some time off. And then those people with cylinder gas on their back would just walk past me like, walk laju-laju lagi tu!

I agree with Sunsuron. We should highlight this very talented group of people.

    Hmm…

If follow the park rules, they are meant to bring around 30kg loads for the climbers, not more than that (for health concern). But seeing that they also can upload a TOMHER water tank on their back, I don’t know what is the max load for them.

TV3? Well, it’s a good exposure. Only if I know somebody in there to contact and jual cerita. Hehehe…

I climbed Mount KK before. I was so ashamed that I was wheezing and panting while this makcik gaily sprinted right up like a mountain goat.

and that after months (okla 1 onlyla) of running up and down Batu Caves

    haizzz…..shyness!!!
