What I have learned in KL
I’ll be leaving the office soon. It’s like almost 2:00am now and here I am sipping coffee ‘enjoying’ the moment…yeah right. While chatting with a staff at the workplace on his smoking break, the topic went on about his divorce with his wife. This guy had a kid. But they still share the responsibilities taking care of the child and all. I know exactly what he’s talking about.
That got me thinking, wow… I have been living in Peninsular Malaysia for more than 10 years now. I was this young man eager to stamp a name in the ‘Hotel management’ arena when I came here. Studying hotel management at the time made me think one day I will be a hotel manager of some sort..LoL! Funny how most of us end up doing something else after that.
So what have I learned in KL? Well first of all, you learn about survival. KL can be a harsh place. Be it making a living, finding a purpose or building a relationship. Some folks become stronger than ever. Some just lost all hope and some just spiraled down into a deep hole and got hurt so bad they stayed there.. for a long-long time.
..and what did I really learn?
Shit happens. Then we move on. Gotta go now. At least there’s no traffic and I can speed all the way home like 120km per hour. Sure is fun! (but cold lah..) I ride a bike mah…
