What’s your opinion on credit cards?

I believe most of us working people tends to have at least one credit card in the wallet or purse. What was your intention when you first sign up for one? I had mine when I was 22 years old. I was just starting my career in the contact center industry. 10 years ago, Credit Cards are not that easy to apply. Because of that it has become almost like a status symbol at that time. Me being young and with no proper guidance, went ahead spending lavishly without thinking of the implications. I really thought I was managing my finance quite well when I was not. I do have other friends who had more than 2 Credit Cards and they were soon in debt for quite a sum. I’m not saying that just by owning a Credit Card you will be experiencing financial distress. The key here is control. Credit card really helps you in so many ways. It is safe since you do not need to carry cash, it is also convenient, does not take much space in your pocket and most of the time you get rewarded based on your usage.
I have come across many good deals on the net and I have to admit, especially in the UK, there are plenty of great deals on credit card. Credit Card UK for instance gives you plenty of choices based on your lifestyle as well as the type of card you need.
